Head of the Buenos Aires City Government, Jorge Macri, has announced the prohibition of pyrotechnics with sound effects in the city's neighborhoods. 'We are banning the use of pyrotechnics with an audible effect throughout the city,' Macri stated. The official indicated that the explosions 'affect the health of the elderly, people with autism spectrum disorders, and babies.' This measure also causes damage to animals and the ecosystem.
